Based in East Sussex, Rowan merged a lifelong dream of owning a tea shop together with a love of good design and an interest in classic cars and started The Grey Earl.<\/p>\n
We are known for serving award winning barista coffee, speciality teas and delicious home baked cakes. We also offer other freshly made food, depending on the event, such as breakfast baps, cheese toasties and soup. We love supporting local producers wherever possible and do all we can to be environmentally friendly.<\/p>\n

The Grey Earl van is our absolute pride and joy. It\u2019s a beautiful, classic 1956 French Citroen H van, combining iconic lines and just the right amount of surface rust. The van is relatively untouched, it\u2019s suspension is very stiff and there\u2019s no power steering but the cafe inside has been beautifully fitted. It\u2019s our very own treasured piece of history.<\/p>\n
